In my previous post, I elaborated in detail about the simple gradual process of modifying your diet with the foods you love to achieve not only maximum weight loss but also radiantly beautiful skin that you always dream of having. Today I am going to talk about a more advanced colon cleansing program with your favorite foods that is much more sustainable than all the other programs out there that painfully deprive you of nutrients your body needs. This advanced form of detoxification gives you the best of both worlds. First, cleaning out your system more thoroughly without stripping your body of nutrients as in the case of most detox programs that leave you feeling tired and feeling sluggish. In the previous post I talked about how difficult it is to make the transition from poor eating habits to good one. It is like asking you to give up Pizza overnight and that is extremely hard to do especially when pizza is part of your daily meal routine. I am referring to those people who suffer from pizza addiction. I know a few friends of mine who fall under this category. They just simply cannot go without pizza for a day.

Pizza has both meats and starch and pizza is an example of improper food combining. Cheese goes well with salads and other vegetables, but not with starches. I know that this is not the best way to digest a meal but it is better to minimize the negative effects of an undigested food.

The point I am try to make is that we are all human and we all suffer from unhealthy food cravings. Fried Chicken and greasy chow mein used to be my main staple, but it took me a while to give those foods up on a daily basis. I don’t mean to say that I am giving up fried chicken in my diet completely but I include them as part of my cheat meals which I can enjoy when I have an occasional craving for it, like for example, once every week or two. And I make sure I precede those meals with a big plate of salad or vegetables. It is a habit I have adopted and I am positive you will see a tremendous improvement in digestion and levels of detoxification.

Would you rather have undigested food trapped in your intestines resulting in constipation which is the cause of all skin problems associated with different forms of major health problems? Or would you want that molded food out of your system to prevent those toxins from being excreted through other channels of elimination, like for example your skin? I am not trying to say the food you eat is molded. But when it stays trapped in your intestinal tract for more than a day, it is a lot worse than the moldy condition of food.

Women who have radiantly beautiful skin rarely suffer from any constipation symptoms because they eat a properly combined meal most of the time. My sister Winny gets a lot of compliments from the people at her job about her smooth skin and she always tells me how they never stop bugging her for beauty secrets. I even asked her myself on many occasions what products she is using currently that was the key to her flawless complexion. The reason why I ask is because she is always experimenting with new products all the time. I even had the nerve to ask her how many times a day does she go to the bathroom or have a bowel evacuation. I know , to you, it sounds rather weird for me to ask my sister these personal questions. Speaking on the subject of going to the bathroom, Winny tells me she goes a minimum of twice a day. Sometimes three times at most. She always told me that no matter how many facials you have, you will never achieve the skin tone you desire if you don’t make an effort to change your diet. She has told me the countless number of times she has gotten facials in the past only to be frustrated to see her skin looking horrible the following day as a result of constipation emanating from poor eating habits. My sister, unlike me, eats a light breakfast consisting of oatmeal or sometimes a bowl of cereal with soy milk. Remember how I said that fruits must be eaten on an empty stomach. But because what she is eating is considered healthy, I would presume that it is okay because it works for her. She is not like me who eat 5 to 6 fruits in the morning on an empty stomach. Different strokes for different folks. If you are trying to lose weight fast the healthy way, I would highly recommend eating fruit on empty stomach instead.

That is my sister’s usual breakfast pattern. When she gets hungry in midmorning, she tells me she would eat an orange or a peach to hold her till lunch. Then at lunch, she has a big bowl of salad that she created herself. What is so interesting is that she has won a loyal following from her peers on the concept of healthy skin diet. They would each bring something healthy from home. Some would bring celery. Some would bring tomatoes. Some cheese and nuts. My sister would bring the healthy chicken strips. And so forth. My sister would bring a huge salad bowl where they all pitch in with their assortment of vegetables to create this huge serving of salad for everyone involved. Kind of like a Vegetable potluck. But this was an everyday occasion. That is how devoted they are.

So by eating salads and vegetables which is compatible with any kind of meat, cheese and nuts is a perfect example of a meal for good digestive health. And in case you didn’t know, digestive health is also a barometer for healthy skin.

Then for dinner, eat whatever you like. But don’t forget the rule of preceding your favorite meal with a plate of vegetables to pave the way for optimized digestion. This way of eating is a lot more bearable and sustainable than all the other colon cleansing programs out there in the marketplace that forces you to abstain from your favorite foods for days. And that would be more like a yo yo detox diet syndrome. Consistency is the name of the game.

In my previous post, I focused deeply on eating strategies for high energy weight loss designed for people who have insatiable fast food addiction.
